Dr. Gore - "The purpose of the SNMA and AMEC is to gather minority and traditionally underrepresented medical students and residents from across the country for networking. For residency programs, participation in this conference is seen as a major indicator of commitment to DEI in recruitment. Minority candidates highly value AMEC attendance during interview season. Many institutions regularly attend. This year was the first year that UC Davis was present. I met so many interested applicants and I hope we see many of them at our annual DEI Open House zoom and on the interview trail later this year. Attached are some photos. We had a great time!" |
