A Children’s Miracle Network Hospital

UC Davis Children’s Hospital is one of the nation’s first hospitals to join Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN)

To provide the best care for kids, children’s hospitals rely on donations and community support, as Medicaid and insurance programs do not fully cover the cost of care. CMN at UC Davis has helped fill those funding gaps by raising funds, most of it $1 at a time.

What does it mean to be a CMN hospital?

As a CMN Hospital – the only one in our area – UC Davis Children’s Hospital receives all money raised locally during CMN campaigns to support programs, patient care, equipment and research. Sick and injured kids in our community can’t wait to get the care they need. And thanks to CMN, they don’t have to.

Meet our miracle kids

Each year, Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals identify “champions” in their local community to represent kids treated at their local children's hospital. Here are our miracle kids for 2024.

  • Braylin

Braylin was 3 years old when her kidneys started failing after contracting E. coli. She was also diagnosed with end-stage renal disease and Type 1 diabetes.

  • Grace

Grace’s heart defect was diagnosed before she was even born. The prenatal diagnosis was double inlet left ventricle (DILV) with interrupted aortic arch.

  • Matthew

Matthew was still in his mother’s womb when his parents were told he had hydrops, a condition involving an accumulation of fluid in his chest which can lead to stillbirth.

  • Harper

Days after birth, Harper went into heart failure. She was rushed to UC Davis Children’s Hospital where she was diagnosed with truncas arteriosis, a complex cardiac defect that must be repaired early in life.

  • Annabelle

At two-months-old, Annabelle had an enlarged heart and was going into congestive heart failure. She was diagnosed with a rare defect called aortopulmonary window and immediately had surgery.
