Klinefelter syndrome

Klinefelter syndrome is a genetic condition in which boys have an extra X chromosome. This leads to low testosterone levels, sometimes tall stature and often learning and behavioral challenges. Boys with Klinefelter syndrome typically need testosterone as a medication during puberty and adulthood to complete their development, ensure a healthy skeleton and develop/maintain typical male characteristics.
