Philosophy of Care
I consider having the opportunity to take care of people with congenital heart disease is both a privilege and an honor. I believe building trust by providing evidence based recommendations and participating in shared decision making is key to improving the quality of life for my patients.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Coppola is a pediatric cardiologist with specialized training in both pediatric interventional cardiology and pediatric heart failure and transplant medicine. He has interest in innovative approaches to patient care and continuing to improve the quality of life of patients with congenital heart disease.
Research/Academic Interests
Dr. Coppola’s research interests include quality improvement and outcomes in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, heart failure, pulmonary hypertension and mechanical support. He has published numerous peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Coppola also has experience mentoring trainees and helping with academic and professional development.
