Ashley Vieira, R.N., M.S., B.S.N., C.C.R.N.-K.Ashley Vieira, M.S., R.N., N.P.D.A.-B.C., C.C.R.N. started her career at UC Davis Health as a student nurse extern in 2007. Upon graduation from CSU, Sacramento with her BSN she obtained a new graduate position in MSICU.  In 2012 Ashley transitioned into the role of clinical resource nurse as one of the founding members of the Transfer & Receiving Unit. In this role she provided leadership for many quality ​improvement and educational projects which supported the development of nursing staff in this area as they transitioned from TRU to MSICU Blue. Ashley also has a BS in Biology from the University of Nevada and a MS in Nursing Science and Healthcare Leadership from UC Davis. She has earned her Health Professions Educator Certification through Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis and holds a Critical Care Nursing Certification. 

Ashley’s teaching experience includes being adjunct clinical faculty for Samuel Merritt University and Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis, providing mentorship and supervision for a variety of clinical courses. Ashley has provided EMR training for students and participates as a nurse representative on a palliative care panel for student education. Ashley coordinated and facilitated MSICU Blue’s ​annual unit-based skills days, was the editor for Blue’s monthly education-based newsletter. She has also participated in NDNQI for wound care since 2013 with her WTA certification. She contributed to professional governance with creation of various posters as a member of UBPC, holding the chair position 2012-2014. She has also held the roles of superuser for EMR, BCMA, Philips monitors and Alaris pumps in addition to being CALNOC auditor. 

As a member of CPPN, Ashley is passionate to assist in the educational development of nurses, promoting training and support in end of life care, evidence-based practice, critical care and professional growth.
