Program Evaluation
The CTSC Evaluation team monitors and evaluates the CTSC programs on an ongoing basis to assess our impact on research capabilities and its success in forming research teams of the future.
Specifically, they help CTSC program faculty and staff direct resources and effort to meet the aims stated in the grant. They also play an essential role in our annual reporting activities by gathering information, analyzing results, and preparing a summary to describe our impact. In addition, our Evaluation team monitors activity to comply with the new focus on Common Metrics. The NCATS Common Metrics Initiative employs a set of common measures to strategically manage activities and make significant, measurable improvements in research translation and workforce development.
The Evaluation team leads this effort at CTSC and helps us assess our performance and “turn the curve” when appropriate.
Overall, the Evaluation team facilitates achieving the goals of the network by keeping us on track with strategic management aimed at improving the impact of the CTSC to improve human health.
The team also provides evaluation services for CTSC training programs including the CTSC TL1 and KL2 programs, the School of Medicine MCRTP, and CTSC-managed K12 programs. For more information, contact sthenderson@ucdavis.edu.
