Belonging and Inclusion Huddle Program

The purpose of this initiative is to establish foundational belonging and inclusion concepts within department huddles and staff meetings. By asserting institutional and departmental values, leaders

  1. Affirm a commitment to inclusion and belonging,
  2. establish shared values and expectations for inclusion, and
  3. Team members develop skills to contribute to belonging.

The program is delivered by a trusted leader or peer in 10 micro-modules (3-10 minutes each) during existing huddle or staff meetings.

Eligibility, commitments, and support

  • Pre-existing huddle or staff meeting.
  • Readiness for introductory belonging and Inclusion concepts.
  • Ideal for teams larger than 10.
  • Huddle leader(s) considered to be credible and trusted by the group.

  • Comprehensive curriculum and accompanying support materials.
  • On-going communication and support from the Belonging and Inclusion Huddle Program team, including mid-point check-in (optional) and post-implementation debrief.

  • Participate in a 30-minute, self-paced training session.
  • Complete a 30-minute curriculum onboarding session.
  • Lead 10 (3-10 minute) modules within a 12-week period.
