Why did you choose UC Davis EM?

I chose UC Davis for a multitude of reasons. One of the key factors that drew me to UC Davis was its location and diverse patient population. Having grown up in Sacramento, it was always a goal for me to serve my local population when I became a physician. Additionally, during my time as a scribe in the UC Davis ED prior to medical school, I saw first hand how dedicated the faculty was in teaching and supporting residents. Lastly, UC Davis's devotion to diversity, equity and inclusion stood out to me on the interview trail and further solidified my decision in choosing UC Davis EM for residency.
