Where are you from?

I'm from Brazil and grew up in São Paulo, but I also lived in the Amazon and on a remote island off the northeast coast.

Interests

I started training Muay Thai at 15 and later got into MMA and BJJ. I also freedive and spend time rock climbing, mountain biking, paddling, hiking, and backpacking. I like pretty much anything that involves me being in the water.

Why did you choose UC Davis EM?

I decided on the UC Davis EM program because the Sacramento area is so diverse, which means we get to care for patients from all sorts of backgrounds. The opportunity to experience real Level 1 trauma and a variety of cases is really exciting! I love the program's positive vibe, with faculty who are approachable and always there to support us residents.
