Philosophy of Care

I work hard to be the eye care provider that you trust. I enjoy building relationships with my patients and hope to be the provider that you and your family will continue to see for many years to come. After more than 20 years at UC Davis, I am lucky to have so many wonderful patients who return to brighten my day.

I feel that the best doctors are those that continually educate themselves about advancing technologies and treatments withing their field, and then use that information to provide the best patient care.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Pederson specializes in therapeutic contact lens fittings for irregular corneas. She fits gas permeable, hybrid and scleral and custom contact lenses for eyes with corneal disease such as keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, corneal ectasia and scarring.

Dr. Pederson offers both emergency and routine eye care to patients of all ages. She performs ocular health examinations for patients with systemic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as for patients taking medications with possible ocular side effects.

Dr. Pederson teaches Geometric and Physical Optics to the Ophthalmology residents.
