Event applications need to be submitted with adequate time to process depending on the complexity and size of the event. A representative from the Fire Marshal's Office will contact you within 2 business days of the application submission. Event permits will not be processed without a current site plan. Site plans need to be attached to the online application and will be approved on an individual basis.
All events that include the use of sterno, must submit an application for a special event permit. When providing catered events in classrooms, auditoriums and/or conference rooms that DO NOT include the use of sterno, a special event permit is not required per established UC Davis Health Fire Marshal's Office guidelines.
