MY Time Yoga
The MY Time Yoga offers two formats, chair yoga for strength, stability, and mobility and traditional mat yoga to unwind from the stress of the day. The chair yoga format is designed to help individuals with mobility impairments due to arthritis, chronic pain, or other health issues experience the benefits of yoga practice in a way that is safe for their bodies. The traditional mat yoga class offers a classic hatha flow and applies yoga to unwind the stress of the day. The practice is guided by Maureen Craig, DNP, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Meditation and Yoga Teacher at UC Davis Health. Practice includes meditation, breath work, flowing through yoga poses, core work, stretching, and savasana, the final reclined resting pose. Questions and suggestions are welcome at the end of class. Recommended Supplies
- Yoga Mat (4mm thick and dense)
- Yoga Blocks (1-2)
- Yoga Strap
- Tennis or Massage Ball
- 1 or 2 pound weights
- Yoga Chair (for Chair class)
