Philosophy of Care
Dr. Nguyen is invested in learning about her patient’s complete needs during their care. She believes that in addition to the available medical treatments, cancer care should take into account her patient’s social situation as well as the familial and/or cultural beliefs that may influence their cancer treatment journey. Her practice focuses on patient advocacy and prioritizes patient education as she strives for patients to feel supported and empowered to make informed decisions about their cancer care.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Nguyen is a gynecologic oncologist who specializes in the comprehensive care of patients with ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar and vaginal cancers. She is skilled in performing gynecologic cancer surgeries and the use of minimally invasive surgical techniques including laparoscopy and robotic surgery. Her expertise includes the use of chemotherapy and novel targeted therapies in the treatment of gynecologic cancers. She strives to provide access to evidence-based medical care for her patients while focusing on their individual cancer care needs.
Research/Academic Interests
Dr. Nguyen’s research focuses on health services and clinical outcomes-based research. She has an interest in evaluating practice patterns and methods used in gynecologic oncology practices to assess the potential clinical impact in cancer care. She also has interest in clinical trials recruitment.
