Our Pediatric Hospital Medicine physicians lead our pediatric inpatient care team serving children in our community and region who are admitted to the hospital with illnesses and chronic, complex diseases. Our faculty are leaders in education, quality improvement, research, and the care of hospitalized children.
Pediatric Hospital Medicine faculty lead in research, quality improvement, high-value clinical care, and academic advancements in their field. Our team supports innovation in family-centered care, clinical guidelines, maternal and child health, telehealth, transitions of care including hospital to hospital transfers, medical education, and overcoming disparities in healthcare.
Our faculty teach medical students, residents, and hospital-based staff at the bedside and in the classroom. The majority of our team is board certified or eligible in Pediatric Hospital Medicine. We are also leaders in collaborating with community hospital partners to improve the care of children in our region.
Pediatric Hospitalists care for acutely ill children who are admitted to the hospital for bronchiolitis, asthma, covid, and similar illnesses. We are the primary team for children with complex, chronic diseases who require coordination of care between multiple subspecialists. We also collaborate with and support community hospitals to provide care for children in hospitals close to their homes.
