Our nationally recognized three-year residency trains physicians to become outstanding pediatricians and leaders.
The pediatric residency program combines both inpatient and ambulatory experiences throughout the three-year period. Residents are exposed to a variety of clinical experiences from rotations in pediatric acute and critical care to general pediatric primary care to community health centers.
Inpatient pediatrics training is based at the UC Davis Children’s Hospital while ambulatory training takes place at a variety of settings including the Pediatric Emergency Department level-1 pediatric trauma center, urgent care clinics and continuity clinics through the community.
The curriculum is designed to provide the skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to be outstanding pediatrician leaders, advocates, scholars, and teachers.
Meet our pediatric residents and learn why they chose the UC Davis Pediatric Residency Program.
Besides our nationally ranked hospital and education programs, the Sacramento community has much to offer in food, arts, culture and sports.
Our faculty, nurses and staff work to create a supportive, collaborative environment where we all learn from each other’s unique strengths.
