It is a privilege to care for children and their families during the time of their critical illness. I strive to incorporate the science and art of medicine in my everyday practice such that each child and family receives the best medical care in a supportive and respectful environment. Having grown up in the San Joaquin Valley, I am honored to be a part of UC Davis Children's Hospital's team and contribute to the well-being of our community's children. As a wellness leader, I advocate for the health and wellbeing of our clinicians so that we can provide excellent care to ourselves as well as our patients.
Dr. Aghamohammadi has always had a passion for education, she enjoys teaching principles of medicine, pediatrics, and critical care to medical students, residents, and nurses alike. Her clinical interests include standardization of practice in the PICU through the use of protocols. Her team has successfully implemented a sedation and analgesia protocol in the PICU and the high-flow nasal cannula protocol for bronchiolitis. Additionally, she has been a champion and leader in clinician well-being since her medical training and was appointed Chief Wellness Officer in July 2022 for UC Davis Health.
Dr. Aghamohammadi has been passionate about Clinician Health and Well-being since her residency training and was appointed Chief Wellness Officer (CWO) of UC Davis Health in July 2022. As CWO, Dr. Aghamohammadi leads and directs our wellness and well-being programs and initiatives for the medical staff and the health system. She collaborates with health system leaders to identify, develop, operationalize, and implement strategies and initiatives that target improvement in our culture of wellness, the efficiency of practice, and personal resilience.
