My philosophy of care is to provide the highest and most advanced level of care for patients with congenital heart disease – from fetus to adulthood, using the least invasive techniques possible, and with compassion and involvement of the entire family.
Some of Dr. Ing's major clinical interests include pediatric cardiology, congenital heart disease, adult congenital heart disease, pediatric interventional cardiology, ASD, VSD and PDA occlusions, transcatheter valve implants, and stent implantation for congenital heart disease.
Dr. Ing's academic and research interests include: 1) clinical trials of devices and stents involving congenital heart disease; 2) outcomes research related to the pediatric cath lab; 3) development of new devices, catheters, and delivery systems; 4) techniques for congenital heart disease interventions; and 5) fetal cardiac interventions.
He has additional interest in working with device companies and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to forward the approval of cardiac devices for pediatric heart patients, and also to educate the next generation of pediatric interventionists.
He is the associated editor for the Journal of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.
