Philosophy of Care

I collaborate with radiation oncologists to support the continuous implementation of new and advanced technology to support our patients' fight against cancer. 

Clinical Interests

Dr. Matney is a board certified medical physicist. He has a background and research interest in treatment of brain cancer with Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and treatment of lung cancer with Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT). Additional research interests include improvements in image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), surface-guided radiation therapy (SGRT) and High dose rate brachytherapy (HDR).

Dr. Matney's research focuses on the use of new technologies to safely and effectively perform Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) and High dose rate brachytherapy (HDR).
