Ayaka Suzuki is a licensed and board certified genetic counselor in the Division of Genomic Medicine. She provides genetic counseling services for pediatric and adult patients and their families, who are at risk of or have a personal/family history of genetic diseases. She serves as the lead genetic counselor in the Biochemical Genetics and the Lysosomal Storage Disease Clinics, supporting individuals and their families with known or suspected metabolic and lysosomal storage disorders. She is also one of the metabolic center coordinators on the California Newborn Screening Program team at UC Davis.
Ayaka has a special interest in international initiatives that strive to enhance the practice of clinical genomic medicine through collaboration with other professionals around the world.
