General Information, Resources, and Advocacy
- The United States Environmental Protection Agency provides information about private wells
- The State of California offers a program called SAFER (Safe and Affordable Funding for Equity and Resilience). Information about the SAFER program can be found here
- The State Water Resources Control Board regulates drinking water in California
- The Community Water Center (CWC) can provide additional information about how to protect yourself from water contamination and to get involved in community advocacy
- The Water Education Foundation maintains a list of some of California’s Environmental Organizations Involved in Water Issues
