UC Davis Medical Center named one of nation’s top hospitals
Medical Center included in 2024 Becker’s Hospital Review’s ‘Great Hospitals in America’ list
UC Davis Medical Center has been recognized as one of the nation’s top hospitals by Becker’s Hospital Review.
The publication’s newly released 2024 “Great Hospitals in America” list included UC Davis among 11 hospitals in California — and the only hospital north of San Francisco — to receive the recognition.
“Being included on Becker’s list of the country’s best hospitals, in the company of so many internationally renowned medical centers, is a great honor,” said David Lubarsky, vice chancellor of Human Health Sciences and CEO of UC Davis Health. “Our health care system is the anchor for complex care in our entire region — providing superior patient outcomes, training the next generation of doctors and nurses, and applying our nationally renowned research at the bedside. This recognition is a testament to the exceptional efforts and unwavering commitment of the remarkable teams here at UC Davis.”
The hospitals on the list, according to Becker’s, are known for top-tier clinical work, a deep commitment to patient safety, innovative advancements, in-depth research, educational excellence and high levels of patient satisfaction.
How they rank the best hospitals
The Becker’s Hospital Review editorial team selected hospitals based on analyses of their recent achievements, including rankings and ratings such as U.S. News & World Report rankings, Healthgrades awards, CMS star ratings and The Leapfrog Group safety grades.
The full list features individual profiles of hospitals and can be read on Becker’s website.
