Our team consists of dedicated physicians trained in pediatric pulmonology, and allergy and immunology, respiratory therapists, certified asthma educators, social workers, pulmonary nurses, and clinical pharmacists. The aim of this clinic is to confirm the diagnosis of asthma, identify factors impacting the severity of symptoms, and optimize the treatment plan.

Diagnostics

Our diagnostic tools often include:

  • Complete pulmonary function testing
  • Blood work
  • Radiological studies such as chest X-ray or CT scan of the chest
  • Bronchoscopy
  • Allergy testing
  • Home evaluation, in some cases

Treatment options

Severe or treatment-resistant asthma options include:

  • Steroid and non-steroid inhalers
  • Leukotriene Inhibitors
  • Long-acting Muscarinic Antagonist
  • Monoclonal Antibodies (Biologics)

An individualized treatment plan is created in partnership between the physicians and patients based on their needs and preferences. Patients and their families will receive personalized asthma education and resources during the clinic visit to enhance their understanding of their diagnosis.
