Course description
This course is based on the study guide provided by the National Certification Corporation (NCC). Day 2 includes review of neuroprotection and developmental care. Neuro conditions in the neonatal population will also be reviewed in addition to conditions of the Head, Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat. Neonatal gastrointestinal conditions, including necrotizing enterocolitis, will be reviewed. Neonatal infections will be discussed, including a review of the hematopoietic system. Genetic, metabolic and endocrine conditions will be presented. Nutrition, feeding and electrolytes will also be reviewed. Lastly, principles of neonatal pharmacology will be discussed.
C.E. contact hours
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 8.0 contact hours.
Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 20 minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.

$25 registration deposit. Registration deposit is returned upon completion of class. Cancellation must be requested five days prior to class date to receive deposit refund. Please register through UC Learning Center and call our office at 916-734-9790 with your deposit by credit card.
Registrations are approved only after your deposit is provided.

This class is only open to UC Davis Health employees.
