Pain Management Principles

This class is designed to advance our understanding and treatment of pain by developing the confidence, knowledge, and critical thinking of pain management intervention. This course will provide nurses with an overview of assessment, commonly used pharmacotherapy principles, substance use, end-of-life, and chronic pain management.

This class is only open to UC Davis Health employees.

Virtual Session Requirements

Follow the virtual participation guidelines, including being on camera, engaging in activities, and attesting to participation.

Continuing Education Contact Hours

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 5.0 contact hours.

The UC Davis Health Center for Professional Practice of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 20 minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.

Registrations are approved after your deposit is received. Registration deposit is returned upon completion of class.

Cancellation must be requested five days before the class date to receive a deposit refund.

Parking

Parking is available in parking structure 4, lots 12, 17, 22, 22 Auxiliary, 30, 30 Auxiliary, Broadway, EDD, and DOJ with either a B permit or daily permit.
