This course is designed to provide an overview of pediatric hematology and oncology nursing issues when caring for the pediatric patient. Hematologic diseases, radiation therapy, hematopoietic progenitor cell transplant and fertility preservation will be discussed. Pediatric palliative care, survivorship and the adolescent with cancer will be explored.
