Reiki, Level II

This workshop will demonstrate the use of reiki as a technique for relaxation, stress reduction and pain management. This type of touch therapy can be used as an adjunctive tool to alter the perception of pain. This class will include the demonstration and return demonstration of the reiki exercises and how to use reiki to improve patient comfort. Benefits include:

  • Reiki recharges & rebalances the body’s energy.
  • Reiki can be used as a pain management tool.

This class is intended for health-care providers and employees of UC Davis Health. Parents of UC Davis Children's Hospital patients are also encouraged to attend.

Prerequisite

Participants must have completed a Reiki, Level I class.

Course Materials

Please bring an exercise/backpacking mat to lie down on.

Class Attendance

Be courteous and on time. It is disruptive to other students and instructors and difficult for late students to catch up once the class starts. Students are expected to attend and participate in the entire course. You will not be allowed to attend the class if you are five minutes or later.

Continuing Education Contact Hours

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 11.25 contact hours. Participants must attend all four days to receive C.E. credit.

Attendees must attend all four days to receive C.E. credit. Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than five minutes late on any day; no partial credit can be awarded.

Parking

Parking is available in parking structure 4, lots 12, 17, 22, 22 Auxiliary, 30, 30 Auxiliary, Broadway, EDD, and DOJ with either a B permit or daily permit.
