Government Assistance

To qualify for a car seat, the parent or caregiver must currently receive government assistance from WIC, CalFresh, Medi-Cal, CalWorks, or another qualified agency. After attending a class, parents or caregivers will schedule an appointment to receive the car seat and have it fitted correctly in their vehicle.

For a list of other agencies offering checkup appointments in the Sacramento region, please use the Sacramento Area Car Seat Resource Guide (PDF).
