Zheng lab is interested in the neural mechanisms and computational principles underlying human cognitive functions, with a focus on memory and emotion. Zheng lab utilizes a combination of tools to study human cognition, including behavior, eye tracking, in-vivo single-unit electrophysiology, intracranial electrocorticography, electrical stimulation, and computational modeling. The overarching goal is to leverage research opportunities under current neurosurgical environments to advance our knowledge of the human nervous system and promote the development of treatments for related cognitive deficits.
