Dr. Carina Oehrn is a cognitive neuroscientist and physician specializing in intracranial neural recordings and deep brain stimulation. She employs these techniques to investigate the role of basal ganglia-cortical networks in emotional processing and cognition in Parkinson's disease. Additionally, Dr. Oehrn is dedicated to advancing treatment options for individuals affected by this condition. She develops innovative therapies, including adaptive deep brain stimulation, aimed at addressing both motor and non-motor symptoms to improve patients' quality of life.
