Dr. Bauman's goal is to help patients become seizure and side effect free. She is passionate about caring for each patient as a whole by understanding their life and priorities to create an individualized plan to diagnose and treat epilepsy. For patients with difficult to treat epilepsy, Dr. Bauman can help patients explore additional options including new medications, clinical trials, epilepsy devices, and epilepsy surgery.
Dr. Bauman is an adult neurologist who specializes in the treatment of patients with seizures or epilepsy. While Dr. Bauman treats all types of epilepsy, she has expertise in advanced epilepsy therapies for patients with difficult to treat seizures and works with a multidisciplinary team to provide patients with additional treatment options including resective surgery, laser ablation, vagus nerve stimulation, deep brain stimulation, and responsive neurostimulation. She also has a special interest in treating women with epilepsy and helping young adults and their families transition from pediatrics to the adult epilepsy clinic.
Dr. Bauman focuses on new treatments for epilepsy through clinical trials for anti-seizure medication and epilepsy devices.
