Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Wang’s research is centered on uncovering the cellular and molecular mechanisms that regulate the nervous system, with a special focus on the development and pathologies of glial cells within the central nervous system. The primary aim of her laboratory is to investigate the processes of oligodendrocyte differentiation, myelination, and remyelination in both healthy and diseased states, notably in demyelinating diseases. She is also dedicated to investigating the pathophysiology and seeking norval treatments for Canavan disease.
