Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a new graduate within the last 18 months prior to start of the program.
  • US Master’s or higher degree in an advanced practice from an accredited university (Nurse Practitioner program or Physicians’ Assistant program)
  • National board certification in one of the following:
    • Dermatology Fellowship: Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-PCNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Physician Assistant national certification. Dermatology Fellowship program have been paused until further notice. We are not accepting Dermatology applications at this time.
    • Trauma/ Acute Care Surgery Fellowship: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP); Physician Assistant National Certification.
    • Neurosurgery Fellowship: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP), Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-PCNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Physician Assistant national certification.
    • Radiology Fellowship: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP), Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-PCNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP),Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Physician Assistant national certification.
    • Endocrinology/In patient Glycemic Control Fellowship: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC) , Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP), or Physician Assistant National Certification
    • Neurology: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP), Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-PCNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Physician Assistant national certification.
  • California Nursing Nurse Practitioner License and California Nursing Nurse Practitioner Furnishing License or California Physician Assistant License (Must have applied to be eligible)

Upon Selection

  • DEA certificate
  • Satisfactory background check
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - for Neurology
  • Current Advanced Life Support (ACLS) Certification, ENLS certification preferred for neurosurgery fellowship, ALTS certification preferred for Trauma/ACS fellowship
  • Completed application

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • 2 letters of reference
  • Personal statement describing interest in selected post-graduate fellowship
  • Proof of national certification (required)
  • Copies of BLS and ACLS (when applicable) certification
  • ATLS (Trauma/ ACS) or ENLS (neurosurgery) if you have successfully completed them

Documents to ready for later submission

  • California licensure documents – California Nurse Practitioner and California Practitioner Furnishing or California Physician Assistant License (must be available by time of scheduled work if selected)
