Policy
Clinical policies and procedures at UC Davis Health are grounded in the best available evidence, with references and relevant clinical skills reviewed and updated during each review cycle. Many policies include synthesis tables and other supporting resources that summarize the available evidence and inform evidence-based practice recommendations.
The Center for Nursing Science facilitates the Clinical Policy Review Committee (CPRC) and Policy Review Committee (PRC), supporting many aspects of the clinical policy review process. Resources are available to assist CPRC policy champions, policy owners, reviewers, and developers with policy creation, review, and evidence integration. In partnership with the Blaisdell Medical Library, reviewers also have access to expert literature search services and evidence resources to help ensure organizational policies and procedures are informed by current evidence and best practices.
Together, these resources support a consistent, evidence-informed approach to policy development and patient care across UC Davis Health.
