Having a miscarriage is a difficult experience. We understand you need a compassionate ear along with physicians who can help you with the diagnosis. Depending on your situation, we offer several treatment options for miscarriage, including:

• Expectant management – waiting to see if your body will pass the pregnancy on its own, with close follow-up
• Medical management – giving you medication to help your body pass the pregnancy, with close follow-up to see how you are doing
• Dilation and Curettage (D&C procedure) to remove the pregnancy

Miscarriage complications

Complications are rare in the cases of miscarriage treatment. However, if you have an unexpected situation, you can reach us at the UC Davis Medical Center with access to our specialists 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
