Dr. Economou is passionate about providing patient-centered, evidence-based, compassionate care to everyone throughout their reproductive life journeys. Specifically, she finds great privilege in caring for patients experiencing early pregnancy loss and for patients who desire termination of pregnancy. Dr. Economou is thrilled to provide this important clinical care at UC Davis.
Dr. Economou is a complex family planning specialist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has a special clinical interest in optimizing pain control during abortion and gynecologic procedures. She is also interested in improving reproductive healthcare for patients with substance use disorder and linking treatment services with family planning care.
Dr. Economou’s research interests center around finding effective interventions for pain control during gynecologic procedures, specifically for family planning services.
