I’ve worked at UC Davis Health for 20 years and chose UC Blue & Gold to get the best care. And I’m glad I did. When I was 42 I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and I wasn’t sure if I would see my daughter, Blossom, graduate from high school.
While undergoing my treatment at UC Davis Health, my care team stood by me every step of the way. In addition to my compassionate and supportive specialists, my Christian faith and enthusiasm for fitness through weightlifting played an important role in my recovery.
I’m now in remission. I was able to see my daughter graduate not only from high school, but college as well. It has been 10 years, and I still enjoy weightlifting and believe in the impact of fitness on health.
