Our pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition specialists provide medical care and treatment for children and their families throughout Northern California. We diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal (digestive) disorders and nutritional problems in infants, children and teens.
Our team of physicians, nurses, nutritionists and dietitians use a comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment approach for these disorders.
Our faculty are involved in number of gastrointestinal research activities aimed at improving care and treatment for infants, children and teens. Our research includes studying functional and motility disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, swallowing disorders and constipation, and how virtual reality modules on diaphragmatic breathing can help treat functional constipation. Our faculty are also looking at ways to improve the care of children and adolescents with inflammatory bowel disease using quality improvement methodologies.
Our faculty are involved in training the next generation of pediatricians knowledgeable in a range of digestive disorders impacting infants, children and teens, including chronic conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease and Crohn’s disease. We take a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, working with other subspecialties in training residents and fellows to become well-rounded pediatricians.
Our pediatric gastroenterology team consists of board-certified pediatric gastroenterologists, full-time registered nurses and full-time registered dietitians. We provide comprehensive care for newborn, infants, children and adolescents with a wide range of gastrointestinal (GI) conditions.
