Pharmacology I-DARE 2022 - 2023

The Inclusion, Diversity, Anti-Racism, and Equity (IDARE) initiative established in 2020 catalyzes a health system wide effort to advance the following goals outlined in the UC Davis Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Vision:

• GOAL 1: Identify, attract, retain, and graduate a diverse student body.
• GOAL 2: Identify, attract and retain a diverse faculty and staff.
• GOAL 3: Advance a climate that fosters inclusion excellence.
• GOAL 4: Promote diversity and inclusion in research, teaching, public service, and training across campus and in neighboring communities.
• GOAL 5: Ensure accountability to diversity and inclusion efforts on campus and in serving neighboring communities.

The IDARE taskforce for the Department of Pharmacology achieves these goals by implementing a variety of activities that promote the UC Davis Principles of Community. The IDARE Taskforce has developed the following Action Plan Challenge for 2021-2022. We invite all members of the department (students, staff and faculty) and the greater campus community to participate in the IDARE Action Plan Challenge. The activities are coordinated with the Frontiers in Pharmacology Seminar Series and are scheduled for Tuesdays at 4-5 p.m. via Zoom. Individuals who participate in 8 of the 9 planned activities will receive a ‘Certificate of Completion’ on behalf of the IDARE Taskforce at the final event and recognized on the Department website.
