Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Hariharan's research interests broadly include: molecular mechanisms of heart disease with a focus on cardiac aging and regeneration, cell fate determination, understanding the role of nucleolar proteins in heart disease, and autophagy. She is also interested in studying molecular diagnostics for infectious diseases.
