Protected Didactics

Didactics occur weekly on Wednesday afternoons in which residents are excused from their clinical duties.

Asynchronous Half-Days

Once a month, residents benefit from half-days of asynchronous learning. This flexible format allows them to engage with educational material at their own pace, providing valuable space for both personal and professional development.

CREWS (Communities for Resident Exploration and Wellness)

CREWS initiatives foster a supportive and collaborative environment by connecting residents and faculty. These subcommunities encourage professional growth and personal support through casual guidance and shared experiences.

Wellness Half-Days

Each year, residents have two dedicated wellness half-days free of clinical responsibilities.

Fall and Spring Retreats

Our program includes annual retreats (one half day in the fall and a full day in spring). These retreats provide a chance for residents to unwind, engage in community building, and reflect on their personal and professional growth in a supportive environment.

Process Group

An optional weekly process group is available for psychiatry residents. This group, led by external facilitators, offers a confidential space for residents to discuss personal experiences and professional challenges, fostering emotional resilience and peer support.
