Dr. Yamamoto is a medical physicist providing clinical service and consultation to ensure safe and reliable delivery of radiotherapy treatment and perform commissioning and quality assurance for the equipment in the department, including linear accelerators, computed tomography (CT), and treatment planning system.
Dr. Yamamoto's research is focused on developing and investigating advanced imaging technologies, particularly functional/biological imaging based on computed tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography (PET), for radiotherapy treatment planning and response assessment.
