This committee is responsible for reviewing the status of the Environment of Care program and practices in accordance with the Joint Commission requirements. In addition, the committee shall be responsible for the development of policies and procedures with respect to fire, security, safety, and environmental protection. The committee shall coordinate with the Emergency Preparedness Committee for issues related to emergency management and with the Radiation Use Committee for issues related to radiation safety. This committee will meet six (6) times a year and a copy of the minutes will be provided to the Chief Executive Officer, UC Davis Medical Center. A quarterly report will be provided to the Quality Improvement Committee and an annual report will be prepared and provided to the Chief Executive Officer by July 15.
