Hazardous waste container labels: you are encouraged to use Word to prepare labels for recurring waste streams, but do not modify the categories or other text, as the labels are designed to meet regulatory requirements. Be sure to fill in the date, location, chemical contents, and concentration on the label and secure it to the waste container before you begin filling it with waste. It is against the law to have waste in an unlabeled container!

Small quantities of dry cell batteries can be sent via campus mail.
Small quantities of dry-cell batteries can be sent by inter-office mail to "Used Batteries". Mail Services will take the envelope to the recycling facility at campus. Please do not send wet-cell batteries through the campus mail system.

A new battery bucket can be ordered using the Infor Lawson (Location) Template, item# 119367. The item description is “Cont Battery Recycling Poly”. Note: Using the Location Template to order from Stores Inventory will allow for a UOM of EA. Ordering direct from vendor will result in UOM of CA (case of 25).
