CalCARES Program Reports
The California Cancer Reporting and Epidemiologic Surveillance (CalCARES) Program, within the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center, has since July 2012 partnered with the California Department of Public Health to manage day-to-day operations of the California Cancer Registry (CCR). The CCR is California’s statewide, population-based cancer surveillance system that collects information on almost all cancers diagnosed. Through this partnership, the CalCARES program has produced numerous reports, listed below, on the impact of cancer in the diverse California population. By providing baseline information on the burden of cancer in the state, CalCARES hopes to contribute to efforts toward eliminating disparities and promoting equitable health care for all Californians.
