Impact: Palliative Care Communication Workshop

This interactive workshop is designed to provide training for nurses and other providers to discuss prognosis and goals of care with patients, families and medical team members. The course utilizes didactic, group discussion and communication techniques to give participants tools for critical conversations that occur around serious illness. The workshop was developed at the request of ICU nurses under the auspices of a University of California grant and after the pilot program, the course is now available for nurses and other providers in all patient care settings.
