Many of us are looking for ways to help our local communities. There are several ways you can give back to the community with your time or skills. Below are a number of opportunities to help others in your community.
Volunteer with Alchemist CDC
CalFresh at Farmers’ Markets volunteers assist in processing SNAP transactions, distribute EBT and Market Match vouchers, and assist in redemption of vouchers from farmers’ market vendors.
Volunteer with al-Misabaah
Volunteer at the charitable aid department for Al-Misabaah, providing charitable aid, refugee assistance to families in need, community education, as well as youth activities.

Currently, the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services needs volunteers ages 10-64 to help with food sorting and bagging. They will also soon need volunteers to help with food distribution for their Partner Agencies.
