The Improving Modular Patient Admission Capacity Through Scalable Solutions (IMPACTS) project will create a temporary Modular Surge Facility (MSF) on the UC Davis Health campus for logistical testing purposes only – no patient care is involved. The project, sponsored by the Department of Defense (Defense Health Agency), will test rapid mechanisms designed to increase national patient care capacity and medical surge capability at scale.

IMPACTS is a pilot program that partners with the National Disaster Medical System. The Department of Emergency Medicine is leading this project, and numerous other UC Davis Health patient care and operations departments are participating and supporting it.
