Construction activity: CUPx phased utility trench work adjacent to PS6

Monday, April 28, through Monday, May 12, the Central Utility Plant expansion (CUPx) team will be performing utility trench work in multiple phases south of the Facilities Support Services Building (FSSB), adjacent to Parking Structure 6 (PS6). This will restrict access to the PO&M shop drive.

Details of construction impact areas.

Please note the following details of this activity:

Phase 1 – Monday, April 28, to Friday, May 9: The CUPx team will be excavating a trench and installing electrical infrastructure south of the FSSB, adjacent to PS6. This work will be performed during the evening hours from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. The team will place steel plates over open trenches during business hours to return full access to the PO&M shops and emergency vehicles as needed.

Phase 2 – Monday, May 12: The CUPx team will be excavating a trench and installing storm drain infrastructure south of the FSSB, adjacent to PS6. This work will be performed during the hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Existing walk paths will be maintained and vehicular traffic will be restricted to PO&M and emergency vehicle access only during the noted work hours. No other impacts to the surrounding area are anticipated.
