Electric vehicle fueling charges at UC Davis Health begin soon

(SACRAMENTO)

UC Davis Health will transition from offering free Electric Vehicle (EV) fueling at our charging ports to implementing a charging fee for this service in the next few months. As the popularity of EVs continues to grow, this change is necessary to help cover the costs associated with providing this service. The fees will contribute to maintaining and developing the EV fueling program.

We will offer our team members competitive pricing for EV fueling. The cost for employees will be $0.3025 per kilowatt-hour (the public rate will be $0.3525) or a flat rate of $5 per fueling session, whichever is greater. The flat rate promotes full-fueling sessions and prevents securing an EV parking stall without completing a full charge.

Currently, UC Davis Health’s Sacramento campus has 118 EV parking spaces:

  • Parking Structure 2: 4 ports
  • Parking Structure 3: 10 ports
  • Parking Structure 4: 98 ports
  • Parking Lot 19: 6 ports

All off-site EV fueling ports, such as White Rock, Folsom, Arden Point, and Pharmacy Shared Services, will also become fee-based.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact Parking and Transportation Services at hs-parking@ucdavis.edu.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we make this needed transition.
