Microsoft 365 Migration update: Key accomplishments, what’s ahead

The Microsoft 365 (M365) Migration team is making steady progress as the migration project moves forward. While cleanup efforts continue, here are some highlights of what has been accomplished so far:

  • User Migrations (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive): 24,332 
  • Shared Mailboxes/Calendars: 2,671 
  • Conference Rooms Migrated: 223 
  • Teams Channels Migrated: 4,466 (13,153.24 GB) 
  • M365 Groups: 3,738 (6,362.26 GB) 
  • Distribution Lists: 8,091 
  • Scripts/Automation Process: 32 scripts were developed and ran in the background for the migration, in addition to using Sharegate and Quest
  • Implemented: Microsoft 365 Multi-Tenant Organization (MTO) 
  • WEBEX: Now supports Health account logins
  • Customer Support Documentation: 40 resources created, including FAQs

SharePoint Migration

Between Friday, August 22, and Monday, August 25, the team successfully migrated the bulk of the SharePoint content from Campus to Health, including:

  • 1,538 SharePoint sites (over 28 TB).
  • 10 additional customer resources created, including a new FAQ

Support & Ticket Statistics

The team recognizes that migrations can be disruptive and appreciates everyone’s patience as issues are resolved. Here is what their service tickets have looked like:

  • Total Closed: 7,396 (96%) 
  • Currently Opened: 313 (3%) 
  • Next day support Teams calls/boots on the ground 

What’s Next

Now through Sept. 28, the team will focus on final cleanup for user and SharePoint migrations.
